I was reading my May issue of Glamour and came across this editorial - I loved it! Check it out if you get a chance. http://www.glamour.com/news/articles/2007/04/childrensexy I don't have a daughter (yet), but if I ever do I'm going to try my best to keep her away from all of the Bratz dolls and smutty looking clothes. I consider myself a fairly liberal person, but I really can't believe some of the stuff the girls at the elementary school are wearing, why on earth is it necessary for girls in kindergarten to wear super low-rise jeans?
Anyway, that's enough of my soapbox for now. :)

I agree with you and the article, Ang. As someone who has a daughter I can tell you it already is hard finding clothes for Linliey that don't look slutty...and that's in size 3T. It's pretty sad when I find shirts at the Children's Place and other well known stores that say things like "sexy" in size 3T. I can tell you who those people are who buy their kids that stuff...trashy! No mother in their right mind would want their daughter dressing like that. But those are the mothers who will be hitting clubs/bars with their daughters in about 12 years. Sorry to get off on a rant here. Miranda
I love this article and I think all parents of children should read it and then assess how they are dressing their kids. Some of my third grade girls have very trendy clothes and shoes and can't even have fun in gym class or at recess. (And you know it's the parents because third graders don't go to stores themselves and buy these clothes!!)
