This and that

I haven't broken out the camera this week, so no pictures. But here are a few tidbits from around here:

Writing thank you notes is never really fun. Makingyour 6 year old write thank-you notes is much, much worse.

I am reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" book this week. It is as good as everyone says.

We have spent a ton of time at the pool this summer. I have not been this tan since I was a lifeguard. I am enjoying this summer even more than usual because I am teaching a class in the fall and also helping cover another maternity leave, so I'll be working every morning through Nov. 30. So I'm savoring the free time this summer, the empty blocks of time with not much to do. Usually I would be running around doing a project but I know that this fall I will be busier than I have been in years and I just want to enjoy the downtime while I have it!
