In like a lion...

We woke up this morning to a lovely blizzard outside. By mid-afternoon we had about 12 inches of snow at our house. Mike ventured out to work at 7am and made it back about 11:30am only to get stuck at the bottom of the driveway. I took the first picture when the snow was beginning to let up (yes, it was worse than that at one point!). Henry and I counted the cars that got stuck on our block, including 2 four-wheel drive SUVs (note our neighbors' Prius in the driveway, which never stood a chance against 12 inches of snow!) Anyway, everything is cancelled again for tomorrow so we'll have another snow day, and I'm not quite sure how we are going to handle the growing cabin fever! Needless to say, it was a long day today. In order to get some rest and to calm Henry down we watched several episodes of Jack's Big Music Show (thank you Laurie Berkner Band and the inventor of the DVR) along with Caillou, which is quite possibly the most annoying show on earth. However,it did buy me 25 minutes of peace, which I am grateful for! We are crossing our fingers that the snowplows can make it to our neighborhood sometime tomorrow so we can get out of here!
