History repeating itself

I have memories of when I was a little girl and my dad had a white Jeep Wrangler. I remember the day that my parents sold the Jeep, and when the new people came to pick it up at our house we waved goodbye and my dad said that the Jeep had tears in its headlights. I believed him and was very sad for the poor Jeep. But my parents were practical and a Jeep Wrangler is not exactly convenient for a growing family so they purchased a Bronco instead. :)

Anyway, last week was the final straw for Mike's Jeep Wrangler, as the Cherokee had to go the shop and we found ourselves without a vehicle that we could fit 2 people and 2 carseats in. So it was bye-bye Wrangler and hello Honda Pilot! The new car is fantastic, and Henry enjoyed watching his shows on the way to the wedding. See photo above of Henry with the headphones on. It's hysterical that they are putting DVD players (excuse me, Rear Entertainment Systems) in cars these days - kids can just put on their headphones and zone out to a movie or play a videogame. I remember driving every summer to Kansas City or Chicago in the minivan, my sisters and I fighting most of the way but still having a good time. We would each pack a bag of things to do in the car and entertained ourselves. So even though we have the RES and will use it on long trips to help pass the time and make traveling a little bit easier, we have made a rule about no DVDs unless our trip is at least an hour long!

Georgie is doing great, he continues to be a very content baby and sleeps well. He is cooing all the time now and loves looking at his mobile in his crib and watching Henry. Enjoy the pics!
