Georgie - "I'm a keepah!"Mimi & Grampy came for a visit last week and we all had a blast. We had a couple of fun adventures, but I think everyone just enjoyed hanging out at the house and playing with the kiddos. Georgie is so close to walking, but is too chicken to take the big steps. He will start to step away from something, then realizes he's about to walk and drops to his knees to crawl. But I'm predicting he'll be walking by his birthday next month. We'll see! Hank just enjoyed having his grandparents here to play with him and kept them very, very, very, very busy! We showed them Acadia National Park, which is my favorite place in Maine. The weather was a little chilly but it was sunny and the views from the top of Cadillac Mountain were spectacular. We finished the day in Bar Harbor for dinner and ice cream, of course! We also introduced Mimi and Grampy to Maine whoopie pies. We were sad to see them leave but we'll be back in Iowa for 10 days in June so we'll see them again in about a month, yahoo!

What the heck is a whoopie pie?
A whoopie pie is like a sandwich made with two soft chocolate cake-like cookies. The middle is a fluffy white filling (like the white filling in a Hostess Cupcake). They are very yummy!
