The first illness of the season has hit, and the winner is........ H1N1! (Or so we think. They are not officially testing for it anymore unless you are admitted or a lung disease patient.) Anyway, we were off to urgent care today after Henry's fever still had not gone down and left with a perscription for Tamiflu. The doctor took pity on me and gave me one for Georgie as well in case he comes down with any symptoms. So far, he's okay but I'm not counting chickens just yet. Henry is doing okay, but he's as sick as I've ever seen him. I taught him a little chant, "Screw you, Swine flu!" Mature, I know. Very grown-up of me. But I'm going on about 2 hours of sleep (and about 6 hours total in the last two nights) so I think I deserve a little bad behavior, don't you think?
Also, in case anyone was wondering, if you spray about a half a bottle of cleaning spray directly into your DVD player, it stops working. You can all thank Georgie for the confirmation on that. And if anyone wants to know what to get us for Christmas, there you go.
All together now: SCREW YOU, SWINE FLU! SCREW YOU, SWINE FLU!!

My Poor Hanky Doodle! I wish Mimi could come and keep him company so poor Mommy could get a little rest. :-( Screw You Swine Flu!
I think Santa might be bringing you a new DVD player :-)
Hang in there! Hope that Henry is feeling better soon (or at a minimum sleeping through the night so you can too!) screw you, swine flu!
That stinks he got it. Alex just got over it last week. I honestly feel it's not if but when all of our kids get it. She got on tamiflu right away because of her asthma and I swear it's the miracle drug. She was better in 3 days and it's started out horribly. Hopefully that's the case for Henry! Hope he feels better soon!

Oh, no! That's awful. Can I bring you anything, caffeine pick me ups, dinner? I of course will drop it off on your front porch and then call you from the car to let you know it is there :) Call me if you need anything. Festival and I are very good friends. I can pick anything up for you.
Oh no!! That stinks that Henry is sick- hopefully it doesn't go through the rest of the Axelrod household. Hope he starts feeling better soon.
PS- now what will be your excuse not to go to the gym ;-)
Yep, Brooke just got over it, had a fever for 48 hours..Tamiflu was awesome! Aidan was put on it as well. Shelby hasn't gotten it yet. I don't feel out of the woods yet. Brooke is still not feeling the best but is back in school today. Hope Henry gets better and Georgie doesn't get it!
Scre you Swine Flu!

I agree...screw you, swine flu! So far I'm the only one that's gotten it here, but everyone else on Tamiflu, just in case. I hope Henry feels better soon...I'm going on day 11 and although I'm getting a little better, I'm still just wiped out! Probably should be in bed now, I guess... :-) Get well soon!!
Noah had it, too- but none of the rest of us got it. I hope you all stay healthy and that Henry recovers quickly
Poor Henry!
(That picture and the little chant are pretty darn funny though)
