Hello there March

It is 6:30pm and Georgie has been in bed for a half hour. That's what happens when you get up at 4:30am and don't take a nap. Today was one of those days - the naughtiness was bad, bad, bad. I had a meeting this morning for a fundraiser that I'm involved in and took Georgie to the meeting, thinking that he could handle an hour of being a civilized human being. Wrong. Although there was a funny moment when he said to another woman at the meeting who was drinking a cup of coffee, "That's a good cup of joe!" (I think he got that line from a movie. Snaps to whoever can name the movie.)

Mike is at a conference in Chicago until Saturday, so this week has been all about grilled cheese for dinner, early bedtimes, many Mommie Dearest moments, and being incredibly thankful that I am not a single parent. Henry has been a huge helper. Also, Twix. Today after school I had errands to run, so after my first errand at the university I purchased two Twix from the vending machine and let the boys eat them while I finished up the errands all around town. $2 well spent.

The days have been sunny and warm (well, warm for Eau Claire) lately so we have been outside a lot - the driveway is dry and the boys have gotten out the bikes, scooters, basketballs, etc. I have talked to neighbors that I haven't talked to or seen outside of their vehicles since November. Whoo hoo for spring!
