Thanksgiving Program

George's class put on a little Thanksgiving program last week - it was adorable. George had worked hard to memorize his lines and was very excited to get the chance to perform!
Showing me his "indian village" (not sure how PC that is, but oh well, its cute, right?)

Doing his part in the play - one of his lines was that the Pilgrims ate carrots on their first Thanksgiving.
Acting out that the pilgrims fished on the first Thanksgiving. The little girl next to him is the super smarty girl that George is determined to catch up to in reading.
George has also taken after Henry in his love for comic books - Henry is constantly writing comic books (I find them all over the place) and George decided to get in on the action. This is a comic about a kid on a tire swing.

One thing that is hysterical to us is that George wears his school uniform even on weekends. We tried to tell him that he can wear jeans or even sweatpants, but he claims the school uniform shirts and pants are comfortable. This is a drastic change from Henry, who when putting his clean clothes away last night, kissed the stack of sweatpants that he wore over Thanksgiving break.

Is that Frederica? Congrats on the performance George!

Yes, that is Frederica! George is smitten with her because she is so smart, but at the same time competetive with her - he says, "I just don't think I'm going to catch up to her in reading, but I am still best at math." It makes me proud that he is smitten with the smart girl. :)
