Freakish snowy May weather = bad moods all around

 

So we've been essentially screwed out of a spring and jumped right to summer. I believe these photos are from May 2 and our record breaking 9 inches of snow.

 

This poor little juniper tree in front of our house was almost lost, but Mike and staked it and hopefully it will grow upright this summer! Fingers crossed, I hate spending money on landscaping!

 

So we decided to take a break from the crap weather and head to the Dells for some waterpark fun. My parents and sister and brother-in-law met us at the Kalahari in the Dells.

This is George on the surf machine. He did a really good job and got some cheers from the bystanders. He felt pretty special. Henry as usual was a total fish and could hardly be drug out of the water. For a kid who has a touch of anxiety, he sure doesn't have any fear when it comes to water slides.

One of the things the kids loved even more than the waterpark was the arcade on Sunday morning. After we got home George got busy working on his own arcade in his room.

 

This is supposed to be a barrell toss of sorts - he has buttons in the front cup and you toss them into the other dixie cups to earn points.

And then when you are done, you can redeem your winnings for junky prizes, shown above. :)
