Adjustment

Here's another picture of the house, covered in snow. Now imagine about 6 more inches on top of this and you get the idea of what it looks like right now. Yep, it's snowing AGAIN. Everyone here is so apologetic about all the snow, since apparently they usually don't get this much in December. Nice that they get record snowfall the month I move to Maine.

I forgot to include in last night's post how the boys are adjusting, I wrote about myself and totally forgot to mention them! Oh well, this blog is called the adventures of Ang, Superhank, and Curious George so I guess I'm allowed to talk about myself a little bit. :)

The night before last was the first night both boys slept through the night entirely on the same night, so we all got some much-needed sleep. Hank had been waking up in the middle of the night scared of all sorts of imagined creatures and monsters that lurk in his bedroom behind books, under the bed, in the closet, etc. He had actually been doing this in Omaha a few weeks before we moved, but Mike and I just indulged him since we were going to be in transition for much of the month anyway. Bad idea. He's now improving, but still waking up early. It doesn't matter what time zone we are in, somehow this kid always wakes up at 6am!!! And it is sooo hard to get out of bed at 6am when it is dark and cold. Otherwise the move has not really been a big deal to him. He asked about our old house once the week after we moved in and again the other day. When I told him that we weren't going back and we live in our new house now, he just shrugged and seemed to be okay with it.

Georgie of course has no idea what is going on, and is content eating his socks, trying to grab things that he shouldn't, and babbling away in Georgespeak.

So, thats the lowdown on the boys' adjustment issues. We'll see what happens when Hank starts school on Thursday, but I don't anticipate a problem with that. When we stopped by the school a couple weeks ago he seemed excited and even asked about going to school the other day. I think he's ready for a break from all the family togetherness.

I miss waking up at 6:00AM and watching A Charlie Brown Christmas snuggled up with Hanky Doodle!
