My mom left this morning and Mike's parents head up from New Jersey tomorrow to spend Christmas with us, so this may be my last post for the next week or so! We've taken advantage of the snow days to get most of the house unpacked and somewhat organized. There is a lot of friggin snow out there though! Hey, welcome to Maine! How about 16 inches of snow right before you move in? And then another 8 inches a 2 days later? It snowed again on Thursday but that time we only got about 6 inches. There has got to be 2 feet out there. CRAZY. But its amazing how everyone here just goes about their lives, like it's no big deal. In Omaha everything would have been shut down and we wouldn't have seen a plow for 2 days. When it was snowing the plow was down our street about every 3 hours. So that's the bright side of all of this.
We are finding our way around the area and yes Aunt Sue, we are doing our best not to pick up the Maine accent. There are some pretty wicked accents around here too, and it's hard not to pick it up when everyone around you has it! Although we met our new neighbors yesterday and they were great, their little boy will be in Hank's preschool class and they played really well together so that was exciting.
Have a great Christmas everyone!!!
