On Tuesday we decided to go Geocaching in the Bangor City Forest. Like Mike and Hank, Meg is really into Geocaching and was interested in adding some Maine caches to her list. Mike had to work so I strapped on the baby backpack (first time I have ever worn it), loaded Georgie up, and headed out into the wilderness with Hank on foot. I nearly got us lost but Meg got us out before the rain began. We found 2 caches then headed back home. We went a ways in the wrong direction before Meg calmly pointed out that we were headed in the opposite direction from the car. "Why didn't you stop me?" I asked.
"Well, I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt," she replied.
"When it comes to directions in the woods, NEVER give me the benefit of the doubt," I said.
So we arrived safely home before the big thunderstorm hit. Oh, and we left a sippy cup out there in the woods, but after all the drama in finding our way back to our car there was no way in hell that I was going back for it!
