Grandma and Grandma flew out from New Jersey and joined us for Thanksgiving. It was nice to have 2 extra sets of hands around to help entertain the kiddos. They did crafts, read books, and played with the train set in the basement. The day after Thanksgiving we trekked out to get our Christmas tree - our Black Friday tradition!

Isn't it funny how mom and dad started the tradition where we get our Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving, and we both still follow that tradition? I think they did that because we were probably like George and wanted Christmastime to come ASAP!
Although we picked ours the same day, Doug and I picked ours out at Home Depot this year - it was half the price of a tree farm one :) What's important is that I smell that real tree smell!
