Georgie cracks me up on a daily basis. He's just so mischievous, but somehow when he's being naughty he also manages to be hilarious and I have a hard time to keep from laughing. In the car the other day we were headed home and he asked to go to Menards, his favorite store. I told him that we didn't have time and we didn't need anything from Menards. He yelled at me, "Take me to Menards, you dummy old girl!" Now I let me state that I was appalled and he was punished, but I had to hide my face because I was laughing.

Here he is with his self-portrait from preschool. He loves art. Occasionally his class walks to the big university library for storytime and they don't have art and George is always perturbed on these days.

Mike has been out of town this weekend on an ice fishing trip so I am flying solo with the kiddos. We went to see "Blue's Birthday" at the Children's Theater. Then we hung out at home, played with the Wii, and cleaned up the Kid Pit a little. However, George decided to do some re-decorating and colored with marker all over the staircase wall. I decided to do some overcorrection and made him wash the wall off. (Only washable markers in this house!)w

This is George's "umbrella tree." He was OBSESSED with this tree when he saw it at Menards during the Christmas season. It's a hideous tree but for some reason George loves it - he calls it the "buhbrella" tree. I have no idea where one is supposed to put it in their home, but we put his in the kid pit. It actually looks kind of cute down there. Mike thinks these things are for restaurants or something.

We have been working on George's writing and it is really coming along! He did this all on his own yesterday! He spelled CAT and MOMMY (although he spelled it "MAMMY") by himself.
