Pukefest 2009!

For some reason I am in a hyper state of awareness over this swine flu situation. I seriously should not even be watching the news right now because every time I do I start to freak out a little more. I'm not normally a hypochondriac, but we just dealt with Georgie throwing up last week and Mike and I experiencing some tummy troubles ourselves so I'm extra sensitive to pandemics at this point. Thankfully, the puking didn't seem to bother Georgie so much - it was actually the first time he had ever thrown up. He started off by vomiting during his nap in his crib, and when I went up to get him he was literally sitting in a pile of vomit and saying, "Yucky poop mouth! Yucky poop mouth!"

So that day was spent washing bedding, scrubbing floors, disinfecting, etc. I would just follow him around with towels and tried to keep him on the hard flooring. I switched to using all-natural, eco-friendly cleaners awhile ago, but nothing will make you whip out that Lysol faster than a toddler puking everywhere. Forget all the chemicals coming out of that bottle - I'm willing to risk some genetic mutations in order to assure that I don't have a 4-year-old puking everywhere next.

That was our fun last week, and this week has been busy with non-vomit related issues... kindergarten screening, hosting a playgroup at my house, Henry's playdates, our trip to the Dells this weekend...

More updates on Monday!

I know what you mean by trying to not watch tv..I'm overly freaked out about it! I'm a germafobe anyways, and this doesn't help matters much! hope everyone is better! Have fun in the Dells!
