Well, you knew this was going to happen sooner or later. This was Henry's birthday gift from our neighbors.
We had a low-key Labor Day Weekend - we went fishing and picnicking yesterday, and on Sunday Mike took Henry to a demolition derby. Georgie and I did not attend. It was the first one either Mike or Henry had ever been to. Mike said he was a little out of place in his Dartmouth t-shirt, and thought that he and Henry were probably the only people there without a tatoo or drinking problem. But they had fun nonetheless.
Henry is still loving school. He was disappointed that he couldn't go yesterday. However, he ate school lunch on Friday because it was macaroni and cheese. The first thing he said to me when he got off the bus Friday afternoon was, "I didn't like the macaroni and cheese. It wasn't the straight kind." Which means it wasn't the 75 cent Kraft mac & cheese out of the box. Poor kid, he'll probably never eat school lunch again!
And on an unrelated note, my "failure to obey a traffic control device" ticket set me back $131 bucks. Ouch! From now on, full stops before turning right on red, people.
