On Sunday we took our visitors to the Eau Claire Orchards - we had actually been there in September, but the pickin' wasn't so great then, so we thought we'd make a return trip and pick a peck or two. Georgie repeated what he did the first time - as soon as the hayrack dropped us off, he grabbed the first apple he saw, plopped down on the ground, and munched away. For some reason, Hank loves picking apples. This time we picked varieties that were low to the ground, so he could reach them himself. He actually did a pretty good job - when I emptied out the bag at home, I only saw one shady-looking apple. Apple crisp, anyone?
