Happy Valentine's Day!

Henry sampling some of the cookies we made over the weekend.
An example of the valentines the kids made for Grandparents and aunts and uncles. I love it when little kids pronounce it "Valentime's Day".
George, well, being George.

In all the years Mike and I have been together, we have always joked about getting a heart-shaped pizza. I took Henry to skiing lessons tonight and when we got back we had this lovely heart-shaped pizza waiting for us. Some girls get diamonds, I get a heart-shaped pizza.

In other news, the mice seem to be gone. The traps are still empty, so they must have been here earlier this winter and have since vacated. We'll be ready for those little bastards when they return.

Henry and Georgie both received a $20 bill for Valentine's Day. Today I found out that Henry got Georgie to trade him his $20 bill for a quarter.

i was talking on the phone with my mom today when I felt Georgie come up behind me and I heard the sound of scissors. When I turned around I saw Georgie holding the scissors with some strands of my hair in them. "I'm cutting your hair," he said matter-of-factly. I started laughing and crying at the same time. Thankfully, the damage was next to nothing but seriously, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What am I going to do with this child?

oh no! I've been waiting for the day that Ella decides to cut her own hair. I never even thought about her cutting mine! I'm glad there was no real damage :)
