Spring Madness

We are currently in the middle of what I like to call "spring madness." I now know what my mother was talking about when she said that she hated the months of April and May when we were growing up. Our calendar for May in particular is especially ugly. George and Henry both play soccer and Henry also does little league baseball. That means on an average week in May we have 4 nights where we are at a practice or game. We also have concerts for school, a piano recital, Mike's busy time of year at work meaning he is late nearly every Thursday evening, an out-of-state wedding, Mother's Day (and all the gift-shopping and making that goes with that), various birthdays.... the list goes on. I like staying busy but this is a little out of control!
Up to bat at baseball - Henry is really enjoying it this year. He was not so impressed with t-ball last year. In hindsight, it may have been better to skip t-ball altogether. Although I think his favorite part of playing baseball is being able to chew gum during the game.

His pants are waaaay to big on him and this was taken during his first game, before I bought a belt for him. He had to keep hitching his pants up so they wouldn't fall down, thus the Urkel effect.
At soccer - he heard that George scored a goal in his first game so Henry was very, very motivated to do the same. Unfortunately as the kids get older the goals are fewer and far between, but he has actually played better this season. He's not spinning around the field doing Star Wars moves like he did last fall.
This was on a nice day (last weekend). This past weekend's soccer games were FREEZING. Hats, mittens, winter coats, etc.
