I'd like to stand, please

Georgie's crawling has not picked up any speed in the last month, so it takes him forever to get anywhere. This is a nice change from Hank, who at this age was tearing into cabinets and getting around speedily. But Georgie has decided instead to skip this crawling nonsense and move straight on to walking. He now HATES sitting on the floor, and when I try to plunk him down in front of a toy he stiffens up his back and legs and refuses to sit. He instead wants to stand up next to the coffee table, couch, chair, etc. Unfortunately he is good at standing next to something but he gets antsy and wants to cruise around, which he is not so good at. Which reminds me, I need to pick up a crash helmet the next time I am at the store.
