Fave pics from the Dells

I'm going to work my way backwards in posting the events of the last couple of weeks... so I'll start with our mini-vacation in the Wisconsin Dells. We got into the Dells yesterday afternoon and went to Mt. Olympus Waterpark, which was free with our hotel stay. It was fun, but a little crazy. The crowd there was a little, um, rowdy. (Apparently, Mt. Olympus has deals with most of the hotels/motels in the area for free admission. A free waterpark pass with a cheap motel stay draws a different kind of clientele, to say the least. Quite different from the Great Wolf Lodge crowd back in May). Plus, there was very little supervision going on. As a former lifeguard, I was a nervous wreck. Henry and Georgie both loved a pair of kiddie slides, but there was no one at the top telling the kids when to go. This resulted in lots of kids ramming into each other, fights over cutting in line, etc. I positioned myself at the top and spent a good half-hour "lifeguarding."

This morning we hit Noah's Ark, which is billed as the country's largest waterpark. After hoofing it all over that place today (most of the time barefoot), I believe them. We had a TON of fun at Noah's Ark, and Henry didn't pee in the pool today. Yahoo! Noah's Ark was very different than Mt. Olympus... tons of lifeguards, clean facilities, a less intoxicated clientele, etc.

I've decided that my kids are both waterpark fanatics. Henry is already asking me, "when are we going back?" Georgie was asleep at 6pm tonight, and Henry was out by 7pm.

Okay, I'm so relieved to know that I'm not the only one who still "lifeguards" at pools, beaches and waterparks. I was wondering if that was ever going to get out of my system!
