You would never know by looking at this adorable face that this child is going to give me a heart attack. Georgie has recently become an escape artist. Oh, it started a couple of months ago... one day I was picking up around the house, noticed that it was eerily quiet, and realized Georgie was nowhere to be found. I found him in the street, trying to get into the mailbox. I was meticulous about keeping the front door locked from then on.
But he's found other ways to escape - out the back door, through the mudroom and into the garage... yesterday we were in the backyard and I swear it was just a minute that I was weeding the garden and when I looked up Georgie was once again nowhere to be found. I frantically ran to the front yard, only to find him standing in the street, greeting the mail truck. I'm waiting for CPS to come knock on my door any minute. All of our neighbors have those invisible fences for their dogs, is it horrible that I thought for a second that its not such a bad idea to have one for your kids?
So now all the doors have to be shut and LOCKED at all times. It's like lockdown mode over here.
Enjoy the pics of Georgie with his bubble machine - I call it the "battery sucker" because it needs new batteries (6 AA, are you kidding me?) almost every day. I have spent more in replacement batteries than I spent to buy the machine in the first place.

Funny thing is our neighbors over here and I have discussed the inground fence thing many a times since Beatrix likes to just cross the street and see her friend Lucas without notice.
I think Georgie is looking for ways to escape to Des Moines and see his Mimi.. :-)
Just a little zzzzzzzzzsh will do the trick w/ those invisible fence things. Kidding!!! :)
