We headed to Des Moines on the 26th for a belated Christmas with my family. About 3 seconds after walking through the door, Hank asked, "when do we open presents?" The boys received more goodies from my parents, Aunt Meg, great-grandparents, great-Aunts, great-Uncles, 2nd cousins... lets just say that packing the car to go home was a challenge. The boys had a ton of fun (neither wanted to leave) and Mike and I enjoyed some freedom while we were there - we saw movies (Slumdog Millionaire was excellent; Benjamin Button was good, but I didn't think it was great), went out to dinner, went shopping, etc. I met up with some fellow 1995 ISU Kappa Deltas in Iowa City and had a blast, it was great seeing everyone again! We will hopefully be getting together this spring for a girls' golfing weekend.
If I were to list all the fun things we did in Des Moines you would all be asleep and bored, so I'll just list some highlights: squirrels in the house; playing Wii and Wii Fit with 2nd cousins P, K, G, and S; Georgie playing with 2nd cousin E; bowling; seeing Bolt; getting lots of undivided attention from Mimi & Grampy...
This time of year always makes me more thankful for family and friends and I can't wait until we see everyone again!

Squirrels in the house?!? I think you might need to elaborate on that one!
If you don't mind us 'crashing' your party, you'll have to include some of us '96 KD's in your golfing weekend. Santelli and I were just talking the other day about needing to get people together for a Chicago weekend or something... I know I could really use a child free weekend ;-)
