Love the hair!
GeorgieToday I taught my first class here at the university - it went pretty well! I think it's going to be a good group and hopefully they will be good "talkers" - it's hard to have a good seminar class when the group isn't very chatty. My cohort in grad school was notorious for driving instructors crazy with our silence and while we kind of thought it was funny at the time, I can see how the faculty was so frustrated with us.
And success on another front as well - yesterday I left both boys at the daycare at the Y while I worked out, and they both did pretty well! Georgie had some little crying spells but nothing that couldn't be soothed. So I was actually able to get a workout in, yahoo! A big thanks to Becki (one of my Moms' Club friends) who was working at the daycare and did the soothing.
Georgie thinks it is hilarious to say "poop", "pee," and "toot." How do they know this so early?
Hank's parent-teacher conferences went very well last week - the thing that made me the most proud was the report that Hank "is the nicest boy in the class, he treats everyone so kindly, and in return everyone likes him. He's never had a problem with anyone else in the class." I was really, really proud of this. I've always had two goals for my boys: 1. That they become productive, contributing members of society; and 2. That they are not a*%holes. I just think that my job as a mother comes down to those two things.
