Random randomness

Don't take my lack of posting for an extremely busy, excitement-filled life over here. Actually, things have been pretty calm this week and I don't really have much to post about.

I was thinking the other day that I really want to freeze the boys at the ages they are right now - they have both been so charming lately and just a general joy to be around. (I wanted to get that in writing, because I don't say that often enough). Georgie has been learning so much lately and trying so hard to be a big boy.

Hank has been Wall-E obsessed for some time now, but it's getting worse each day. Many of you know that he is very interested in saving the Earth "so it doesn't get all yucky." (Thanks, Wall-E). He is very concerned about the amount of trash we generate, if we are recycling enough, etc. He is also concerned about whether or not things are healthy, although this does not stop him from eating the unhealthy things. Mike and I try to be as eco-friendly as possible (the two gas-guzzling SUVs don't help) but Hank takes it to a new level. He has also been asking lots of questions lately, most of them elaborate and difficult to answer. "Where does electricity come from? The power plant? How do they make the electricity? From coal? But how does burning coal make electricity? And how does it get to our house? I know it goes on the wires, but HOW does it go on the wires? Can you see electricity?" I've been running to Wikipedia constantly (how on earth do you explain the power grid to a 4-year-old?) and trying to dodge the really tough questions like, "Where do people go when they die? Why do people die?"

So that's it from here. It is supposed to be like -25 here tomorrow. No kidding.

Oh, and I was so happy for Slumdog Millionaire last night winning the Golden Globe! Such a good movie, see it if you get a chance!!

I love 4 year old questions- they make me realize how much I really don't know. It's too bad we can't get Henry and Noah together- they could keep each other entertained for hours!! Maybe we should teach them to e-mail?

Slumdog Millionaire is awesome. I am SO buying that on DVD!

Henry should come to my class this Thursday - I signed my class up to have a "Recycling expert" come to our class from the Metro Waste Authority!
