On Thursday evening we went to the "Free the Fish" party at the pool. At the end of this party, they release a ton of goldfish into the pool and the kids try to catch them in little nets. Then they get to take home whatever they catch. We ended up with four fish - when we got home we put them in one of Mike's buckets for his ice fishing minnows. I braced myself for what I thought would be the inevitable toilet bowl funerals I would be conducting the next day. I figured we'd lose at least one (if not all) of the fish before the next morning but lo and behold the four little guys not only made it through the night, but 48 hours later we still have four swimmers. I had to go to Walmart and shell out $8 for a fish bowl and another $2 for fish food so these little dudes better have some longevity.
